Tenant futures: the future of tenants in social housing

(p.220) (p.221) Nine Tenant futures: the future of tenants in social housing
Building on the past

Phil Morgan

This chapter argues that the notion of the term ‘tenant’ will become more anachronistic, as equity sharing becomes more widespread across what is referred to as social renting. It examines the role of tenants in social housing and aims to explore the trends that are already apparent. Finally, the chapter also poses some questions on the housing futures of both the landlords and the tenants.
