Rounding up the ‘usual suspects’: police approaches to multiagency policing
This chapter evaluates partnership issues related to multiagency policing in England. It explains the interagency working is a political process in which agencies pursue their own interests together with those of the wider community. The analysis of several examples of multiagency policing initiatives suggests that multiagency initiatives usually involve calling in stakeholders and service representatives to achieve policing objectives, particularly helping the police with their enquiries.
