‘Old enemies of peace’: constituents of organised money
Roosevelt introduced New Deal 2 outlining constituents of organised money, adding that government by them was ‘just as dangerous as Government by organised mob’. This chapter updates the components of organised money, by which we are now ruled, noting the emergence of predatory finance, adding the financialised business, and the increasingly dominant role of Big Tech, and the complicit supportive strands of academia, the media and political sectors, all of which serve to develop and promote neoclassical belief and all gain from its application, at the expense of every other interest.
