‘Time will tell,’ is the concluding chapter and pulls key messages together from the previous chapters. This book is an attempt to create a layered understanding of ageing that reflects the complexity of the people who participated in the research. This book presents a new framework for understanding that time, body, and identity are defining aspects of ageing. This book has explored some of the differences in the shape and significance of old age for the postwar cohort.
