This chapter considers the needs of LGBT young people in care. Relevant literature is examined and discussed with reference to the social ecology of care and concepts of minority stress and resilience. These are explored within the context of Northern Ireland. It is recognised that resources and expertise focused specifically on the needs, rights and expectations of care experienced LGBT young people are required.
